Original publications

Historical stories retain their original titles, dates and bylines. Source links identify the exact web-archive capture used. The capture date is not the original publication date. Image credits do not invent a photographer when the publication did not name one.

Complete documents

The library links original PDF files, with their page count and size. Duplicate copies of the same file share one stored document. An original PDF retains its own dates, conditions and limitations. Old membership and payment forms are historical documents, not forms to submit today.

Current guides

Driver guides are editorial explanations with primary sources, procedures and worked examples. They are separate from the historical contributors’ work. A checklist is not a licence, an insurance decision, an inspection certificate or confirmation of legal representation.

Examples and illustrations

Numerical examples are labelled fictional. New diagrams explain a task and include a written equivalent. They are not photographs of a new meeting, evidence of a new programme or an official operating approval.

Find what you need

Use the site map, the archive filters or the Search button. The calculator requires JavaScript; guides and original documents can be read without it. All public pages are in English; this site does not label incomplete translations as language equivalents.
